Job Purpose:
As the Head of Investor Relations, the primary mission is to effectively devise comprehensive strategies to attract and retain investors, ensuring accurate and timely communication of financial performance, growth strategies, business updates, market insights, and investment opportunities to shareholders and the investment community contributing to financial transparency, and fostering stakeholder confidence.
Mainly responsible for creating, maintaining, and sharing the company’s investment message consistently and accurately across channels and stakeholders, through activities, dashboards, and materials that outline the company’s strategy and performance to shareholders and engage the right prospective investors.
Ultimately, a strong CIRO team and strategy lead to a strong collaboration between the members of the management team, the company’s Board and shareholders, clear alignment on strategy and strategic initiatives, and a clear communication of the company’s vision and value creation story.
Principle Accountabilities:
Investor Relations Strategy and Execution
- Prepare an investor relations strategy that builds and manages the relationship with investors. The strategy includes:
- Key messaging and equity story,
- Calendar of events where shareholders and potential investors meet with management and/or IRO to understand the long-term strategy of the company, and
- Content pushed out to communicate the investment story, company milestones, and reasons for setbacks and how the firm is working towards achieving its goals.
- Align with FP& A to Perform an ongoing analysis of the investor relations programs and metrics of the company’s chief competitors, noting points of differentiation and valuation.
- Develop and oversee performance metrics for the investor relations function. This includes the identification of areas of improvement, with remediation plans that are communicated to senior management.
- Prepare the quarterly and annual earnings releases, along with their respective press releases, and share them with the investment community.
- Prepare the company’s annual report and share it with the investor community.
- Revamp and enhance investor, Board, DFI and prospective investor dashboards, performance reports, CEO updates and presentations and investor / Board packs and meetings.
Organizational & Corporate Development
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and Completion of strategic initiatives and partnerships in alignment with corporate goals.
- Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and transactions.
- Effective oversight of all business verticals and performance monitoring.
- Timely resolution of performance gaps and implementation of support measures.
Corporate Strategy
- Screen and assess investment and partnership opportunities on behalf of the company and the different lines of business.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives, in collaboration with heads of the different lines of business.
- Manage crossline of business initiatives pertaining to process improvement, performance enhancement, technology and digital road-mapping and transformation, financial engineering
- Refresh Consumer Finance strategy and validate with the Board
- Program-management and performance tracking / development for cross-line-of business initiatives, focused on performance enhancement with regular updates to the CEO, CEO-1 and the Board as needed.
- Leadership, management and execution of partnerships and JVs with potential commercial partners, startups, and / or potential investment opportunities in collaboration with the CEO, management team and coordination with the Board (as needed)
- Preparation for the investment process, due-diligence, growth strategy presentation and management interviews relating to GlobalCorp prospective new investors / shareholders and /or IPO
Branding Organization Identity and Reputation for business growth
- Co-manage online Channels Engagement to ensure the website is updated with the latest news and financial data.
- Communicate positive management changes to the public (new C-Suite hires, new departments created to increase efficiency and operational excellence, etc)
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant discipline XX University.
- Credit hours at one of the Ivy League Research universities are a plus.
- Master of Business Administration, Investment and/or Economics from a reputable and accredited university.
Working Experience
- 10-13 years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with investors, analysts, and the financial community.
- Experience in Investment Banking is a plus.
Hard/Technical Skills
- Financial acumen: In-depth understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and capital markets to effectively communicate financial information and assess investor interests.
- Investor relations expertise: Proficiency in developing and executing investor relations strategies, managing shareholder relationships, and coordinating investor events.
- Communication and presentation skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Regulatory knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP), and compliance requirements.
- Data analysis: Proficiency in analyzing financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to provide accurate and timely insights to investors and senior management.
- Knowledgeable in digital and social media platforms for investor engagement and communication.
