Purpose:
To lead, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor risk, ensuring the development of strong, effective risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks. This is a leadership position that involves close collaboration with the executive team and Board of Directors to ensure the alignment of risk strategies with the company’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management Leadership:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and monitor all risk management activities, including credit risk, anti-money laundering (AML), and compliance risk.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and Executives to ensure the organization meets its risk management obligations under current legislation.
- Establish and manage appropriate risk management methodologies and mechanisms within the organization.
- Lead the development of short-, medium-, and long-term strategies for the risk management department, aligning with GlobalCorp’s corporate objectives.
- Work with the Executive team to define policies that support the company’s risk appetite and profile.
- Conduct market research and provide insights on industry trends, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
Operational Risk Management:
- Review and analyze credit packages and annual reviews, ensuring tailored facility structures meet client needs while securing GlobalCorp’s rights and repayment.
- Meet deadlines and quality standards for reporting, ensuring thorough and timely updates for the executive team.
- Develop and implement collection policies and strategies to address NPLs and clients on the watchlist.
- Review and improve risk management frameworks, identifying and addressing gaps in business risk practices.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate policies and procedures to achieve risk management and compliance objectives.
